Dental CT or CBCT Budapest
Dental Cone Beam CT, Dental CT, or CBCT Budapest: A Comprehensive Guide to Advanced Imaging Diagnostics
At our Dental CT Center, we prioritize not only your well-being and oral health, but also the overall experience you encounter during your visit. In this article, we jump into the realm of advanced imaging technology, specifically focusing on Dental Cone Beam CT, Dental CT, or 3D Dental CBCT, aiming to take you on a journey of discovery, providing detailed insights into these procedures and how they revolutionize your oral care.
Understanding 3D Dental CBCT or Dental Cone Beam CT or Dental CT
Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) stands as a remarkable advancement in diagnostic imaging within the field of dentistry. This advanced technology becomes indispensable when traditional panoramic radiograph, OPT or orthopantomography prove inadequate. By applying this technique, our expert practitioners bring your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone structures to life through intricate 3D images — all captured in a single, comprehensive dental scan.
The precision achieved through dental CT images significantly enhances the planning of intricate dental treatments, ensuring a more accurate and tailored approach to your oral health needs.
What to Expect During Your Visit to our Dental CT Center
Our commitment to your well-being extends beyond the treatment room, and we understand the importance of transparency in explaining the procedures you might undergo. Let's explore the two primary types of appointments related to Dental CT scanning:
1. Dental CT Scanning Appointment (Approximately 5 Minutes):
Before the scanning process, please remove your jewelry (earrings, necklaces, facial and oral piercings), sunglasses, glasses, hair clips, anything that could scatter the X-rays on your head.
You will then receive a radiation protection lead vest from us to protect you from all unnecessary radiation.
The process is designed to be swift, pain-free, and to avoid any unpleasant experiences. It typically takes around 1 minute to complete the actual scan. During this time, you will stand in an open space, maintaining a stable and comfortable position, eliminating any concerns related to feeling claustrophobic. If we count the paperwork, the dental CT scanning process and the hand-over of your files together, it will take approximately 20 minutes.
If you need additional consultation, please choose our second option.
2. Dental CT Scan with Consultation (20+25 Minutes)
This extended package includes the initial dental CT scan, followed by a comprehensive consultation. During this session, our skilled colleague evaluates your scan's results, providing insights into the condition of your dentition and jaw. Additionally, the dentist conducts a meticulous examination of your full oral cavity, uncovering any abnormalities.
The dental CT scan also facilitates focal infection research, identifying hidden infections such as dental focal infections (foci) that might contribute to the development of focal diseases, such as hair loss, arthritis, or skin conditions.
Based on the comprehensive information gathered from the dental CT scan, our colleague creates a personalized therapeutic proposal. Subsequently, in collaboration with you, a detailed treatment plan is devised, accompanied by a transparent price quote.

Why our machine is unique
It's essential to note that while cone beam dental CT (CBCT) shares similarities with conventional CT, it boasts distinct advantages that make it an indispensable tool in modern dentistry. With cone beam dental CT, an x-ray beam shaped like a cone is strategically moved around the patient to capture the multitude of images, or views. This process allows us to produce images similar to those acquired through conventional CT imaging.
However, what truly sets our machine apart is the incorporation of Low Dose Technology™. This innovative approach results in our dental cone beam CT utilizing only 1% of the radiation dosage compared to conventional CT. This substantial reduction ensures that the procedure has no adverse effects on your health. Additionally, we prioritize your well-being by implementing careful protective measures, including the use of lead jackets, further minimizing radiation exposure to the lowest feasible levels.
